February, a month of treats, from pancakes through to doughnuts
Every year, February is the month of feasting and festivals. From la Chandeleur, or Candlemas, traditionally celebrated by eating crêpes in France, through to Mardi Gras, or Shrove Tuesday, which features tasty doughnuts and bugnes, February offers something to suit all tastes. Chandeleur may have passed, but pancakes continue to be enjoyed throughout the month, especially for afternoon tea.

Mardi Gras is fast approaching, on Tuesday 25 February, but the coming fortnight is already set to be dripping in sugary delights.
